Roll Call Time. With the price of Hard Drive Storage getting pretty reasonable these days, I thought it would be interesting to see how much do total HD storage space everyone has and what storage devices are used. If any is networked storage or external storage I'd be interested in that as well.

Before adding details, answer the following:

I have an Antec Fusion v1 case with 2 HDD brackets. I first got a 500GB Samsung Spinpoint to be the only drive I needed. However, as this was my first HTPC, I really REALY underestimated how much I wanted to have my DVD collection, home movies etc all colocated.

So I fitted a new 1TB Samsung Spinpoint the other weekend (after Antec very kindly sent me the special long-necked screws I needed!).

So I now have a 500GB for OS, games, Pics, Music and apps, and a 1TB for Movies and Recorded TV.

Very happy.

Only a internal 320GB... Also, 1TB ReadyNAS, I'm using a network crossover cable from the NAS to the PC via a second ethernet connection.  This is done to minimize network traffic on my router.

I guess it would be unfair if I didn't share too.

1 TB Recordings Drive (this seems so small now that I look at it )
250 GB OS & music drive (and some extra junk...)
250 GB (movies)
400 GB External (movies)
250 GB (movies)
300 GB (movies and home videos) all family stuff I promise.
1TB (movies and backup)
400 GB (movies) on client PC
300 GB (movies plus photos and music backup) on client PC

4.15 TB TOTAL for recordings, movies, music, photos and two OS stuff. I'm almost embarrassed by that size, but the two 1TB drives were too affordable . I'll be removing one or two of the external drives eventually to use on another PC in the house.

E. 2.7 TB

C. 501 - 1TB

I have 2 internal drives that equal about 400 GB. Plus I have an external USB drive with 500 GB. Now that I've enabled DVD Library in Vista will probably need more space very quickly.

750GB - DVDs

750GB - tv show avis, music, photos, home video, downloads (cough)

2x300GB - backup (for music, photos, and home video)

F. 4TB (on my largest PC)

2 x 750GB (1 IDE, 1 SATA) Internal
1 x 500GB IDE Internal
2 x 1TB WD Essentials External

Combinations of DVDs (I don't recompress them, looks like crap on my HDTV if I do, stored as VIDEO_TS), Music (28,000+ MP3's from CD's I have been purchasing since 1988) and about 15 Blu-Rays (I just bought a Pioneer BD drive, so just starting on that).

That is the Media Center in the main room, and it serves out it's content to other VMC machines and 360's throughout the house via a gigabit connection.  If I add together all of the storage among all of the machines I use, it would be about 6TB.

I have a 3TB Promise NAS. Has four 1TB drives in it RAID 5. Plus the internal storage in the two MPC's I have (just upgraded them to 500GB drives).

hmm...let me count it up:

External ESATA raid array  5x500GB in raid 5 so 2tb,
Internal (OS and such) 2x250gb mirrored so 500gb,
Externas eSATA single drive for backups and moving data for friends - 500GB
That puts me at E. I guees 2.001T-3TB

However, in the next month or so I will be getting another eSATA 5 drive enclosure and 5 1TB driver and also have them in RAID 5, so that will net me another 4TB. Not to mention my raid card is expandable to 20 drives, so that gives me a theoretical max of 19TB (in raid 5), though I would probably do 4 arrays giving me 16TB for that card, and I have room for one more to make it 32TB just in RAID storage

The HTPC has a 120 gb drive for apps and the OS, and a 500 gb drive for ripped DVDs
My rackmount NAS has 8 TB. As the 500 gb drive fills, the rest (along with the backups) go there

E.  2.2TB (500GB, 750GB, 1TB)

I really want another 1TB drive for my movies.
