Hello Sl0thy,
No, there is no integrated way. But there a tool called "Menu Mender", as far as I unterstand it, you can customize the menu.

Re: Internet Radio PlugIn - ShoutCast at it's best
Hi all,
for almost half a year I spent every free minute to develop and support mcShoutCast. None of the availabe radio plugins have nearly the featureset of mcShoutCast - I think the radio part is feature complete. To have almost no sparetime is not what I want.
I have to make a decission:
- Stopping mcShoutCast - meaning everything.
- Reduce the working time for my full-time job and sell mcShoutCast to compensate the lower income.
I am not sure what price tag mcShoutCast will get. I think about something around €15 (~$19). I like to get your opinion.
Kind regards,
Sörnt

Re: Internet Radio PlugIn - ShoutCast at it's best
Hi, Sörnt. Love your app - it's really well designed and it works flawlessly.
I was actually thinking (for a while now:-) to send $10 the Donate way. Would I pay $20? I don't know..., probably, even though I use the radio function on VMC somewhat rarely (I have been using an Iphone to stream news like BBC or PBS when I am stuck doing something mindless, like loading the dishwasher:-)
But before you make a decision involving your job, consider how many others will do this. I'd contact someone like ahelseth and check on his experience selling an app for VMC.
VMC, for some reason, has only recently started getting decent plugins, and development often peters out for many of them. Open source front-ends seems to have more active development, but none for $$.
It may be a good idea. On the other hand, if your job would suffer, I am not sure it's worth the risk. Unfortunately, VMC doesn't have the support of something like the Apple iPhone store (or the user-base willing to pay, it seems.)

Re: Internet Radio PlugIn - ShoutCast at it's best
I have not paid for many applications. The only one that springs to mind is G-force visualisation and a measly donation to mcetunerfree. I would be prepared to spend EUR 15 on your app. I am not too sure how many others would.....do you have any idea of your install base?

Re: Internet Radio PlugIn - ShoutCast at it's best
Hi
The following error is occuring frequently when I change radio stations. This sometimes causes Media Center to become completely unresponsive.
Error while parsing playlist: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Also pressing the Play button on the remote control when a station is selected no longer plays the station. You have to press OK to bring up the menu and then OK again to play the stations.
The above have only started since update to 3.3.4.
If you need further information please let me know.
Many thanks

Hi,
can you please have a look at the windows system event viewer? There should be a error message logged at the application section. I need that message.

Re: Internet Radio PlugIn - ShoutCast at it's best
This is a great application and I would be willing to pay $20 to keep it going. I've paid/donated for other plug-ins and this is one of the best ones available.

Re: Internet Radio PlugIn - ShoutCast at it's best
Your hard work should yield you a financial reward for a great plug-in. It is worth $20.00 however for the most part this community expects things to be free. A better place to start may be putting a donation link on your website, in your installer and in your application. Take a look at arguably the most used plug-in out there (MyMovies). It is still a donation only application. You may want to consider doing something similar to what Andy(DVRMStoolbox developer) does. If you donate to him, you are allowed early access to his applications.
I’m not exactly sure why, but MCML only development doesn’t appear to be a good career choice today. Development in this area should be looked at as a building block for bigger and better things. Slow development down and keep your day job.
There isn’t a plug-in out there that I use that I haven’t donated to. As far as I have been able to see, you don’t have anything like this right now.

Re: Internet Radio PlugIn - ShoutCast at it's best
WOW - I got a lot of messages - I didn't expect that much.
Thank you very much for your support!
For what I read is that $19 is a bit to much for a radio plugin. So I correct the price tag to €8 (10$). Until the beginning of december it stays free -Until than I will release bug fixes to get it as perfect as possible.
Have a nice evening!

$10 is more than fair for all of your work. And to help pay for your continued updates (and server costs). Thanks again for a very fine plug in!

i completely agree, i wouldn't have any probs paying $10 for the plugin if it meant development continued, thanks again for the plugin and your work so far Sörnt.
