    Sideshow remote from Philips

With the Ricavision Vave100 still vapour-ware and now costing $350, Philips are selling their Sideshow remote with a MRP of £99.99 ($200), although it can be obtained for less than £80. OK, it's not as good looking as the Vave, but it exists now and is a hell of a lot cheaper! I haven't bought one myself, but I'm seriously thinking about it.

It's not acutally SideShow, just an external display.  Looks great for browsing music library and such, but I'm not sure it has the level of functionality that a true SideShow remote would.  However, for the price your right.

Ok - it's nearly a Sideshow remote. It's got RF too!

I just need to get my VMC working again - long story.

    about $110 shipped from amazon.

I like the look and button placements, looks like an easy remote to use (high res pic)

i guess this is a learnable remote, so no need for an IR blaster...but, since I use this with my satellite STB, would a "channel up" command be able to send a channel change to both the STB and vista MCE?

if using a stb you need the ms IR receiver with the blasters to change the stb channel when using it with media center.

it's a pretty good looking remote as it goes, but the mono display isn't doing it for me.  even when sideshow does have something useful to say for itself the mono display is going to be a stumbling block for me personally.
