hi all,

I'm having real problems with my newly built Vista HTPC.  I want to achieve the following:

1) Play upscaled video via Media Center
2) Fast forward and rewind through upscaled video via Media Center
3) Play upscaled DVD via Media Center

Not too much to ask, I think!  But I can't seem to get the right "mix" of codecs.  At the moment I have everything working except 2.

I have tried installing Vista Codec Pack, ffdshow, TheaterTek, K-Lite codec pack and no combination seems to work.

Now I have a mess and don't know how to remove all the codecs that have been installed!

Any ideas?  Do I need to ditch MC and go with Media Portal instead?
