Well, people appear to be downloading it - can I have opinions on the new main menu interface? Do people like the new appearance? Is it taking too long to get the images, or does it still run relatively quickly?

My MCE is currently in between moving, but if you can post some screenshots, I'd love to see & give feedback. Sure there's others that would as well.

lookin sweet. Do the thumbnails take any extra time to load? If so, might be nice to just have titles. also, any way to view the more info, or comments for a given video? Wouldn't be bad to see in the window'ed mode, as we could just go full screen if we don't want to see them.

just suggestions, no dealbreakers. Can't wait to play with it.

It downloaded fast and installed perfectly for me in More Programs.  I like the interface except on my 56"HDTV, the viewing video window doesn't fit.  It seems to overflow at the bottom of the screen. Any ideas?

Hehe - I've used a new scaling method in this update - there MAY be a glitch or two, although I've got to admit I'm a little surprised.

Is this in the FULLSCREEN view, or when watching the movies from the regular interface  - ie. with the visible 'Back', 'Fullscreen' and 'Add To Favourites' options?

Shadymg, the thumbnails (for ME) took surprisingly little time to load - YouTube is pretty clever with their bandwidth, and they actually space their thumbnails across multiple servers to make downloading them faster. I expected there to be a big lag in DL times...but to me it seems OK.

 

But as you'll see above, I asked OTHER people about their experiences to see if they are seeing longer loading times. If it turns out to be an issue with users, I'll offer the old text-style buttons as an option. But until I hear complaints, I'm happy with the new-look interface.

Im getting Internet connection problems... It worked at first but then it came up with that message... I checked windows firewall and there is an exception in there and it is checked.. I also allowed media center in the exceptions.. Uninstalled and reinstalled.  same problem... rebooted inbetween..hmmm

First, thanks for making this. Any news on making this work in an xbox 360? It works great on the PC btw.

It is in the regular view; i.e., not Full Screen.  I cannot see the bottom part of the video box with the controls, etc. On regular pages, I can barely see that there is a 1/15. 2/15 etc.number at the bottom right corner.  It is over scaled I would say.  Otherwise, it works great!  Well, except for the quality of the videos...but I guess you aren't on the hook for that!

To be honest, I've got no idea. If you have upgraded to the new version (0.6.3) and you do not use a proxy to connect to the internet (check 'Internet Options' under the Tools menu in Internet Explorer), there are no connection problems I'm aware of.

I just checked my copy here and all is well...are you getting an error message in a popup-message window, or on the right-hand side of the screen next to the 'back' buttons?

   Ahh, OK. Yes - I had a horrible feeling something like this may come up. It's an unusual combination between some IE features. I'll take a quick look at it...I should be able to make a couple of adjustments to the scaling code and give you something that will work properly.

Looks like the problem resolved itself... :shrug:

When I click on the My YouTube selection off the main media center menu.. I see the equivalent of the hourglass symbol come up.. then it just goes to a blue screen.. has anyone seen this? I can play the YouTube videos fine.. off of youtube.com
