    Common Language Runtime Debugging Services

So I finaly got my video card it's a GeForce 6200, I was all excited because I would finaly have a working MCE but when I try to play a video or a dvd the screen goes black and I hear sound for about 2 seconds and then MCE freezes when I quit eshell.exe on the task manager I get an EHShell.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services It says Application has generated an exception that cold not be handled. Process id=0xd0 (208), Thread id=0x8c (140). Click OK to terminate the application. Click Cancel to debug the application. I have the K-lite codecs and i instal intervideo that came with the card. Please help me.

Nope, it was definitely your install.   Never install a "codec pack" or the Intervideo codec that comes with the Hauppage cards.

RE: Common Language Runtime Debugging Services

You install an MCE compatible DVD decoder - my preference is the nVidia Purevideo decoder, but there are others that are compatible.

The decoder from Hauppauge Interideo decoder is what is called a non-CSS decoder.  It doesn't decode the content scrambling system used in DVD's to protect them from copying - this is why it works with MPGs but not DVDs.  It's not also not 100% compatible with Media Center and can cause fatal crashes in ehRecvr.exe.

    Cheers,
    Andy
