    Cowboy:
As long as you are not trying to watch a 3rd analog channel at the same time.

Not with one M780 installed. You can watch or record one analog channel while simultaneously watching or recording one HDTV channel, but you can't watch or record two analog channels at the same time nor watch or record two HDTV channels at the same time unless you have two M780's installed in your machine.

If you have two M780's installed then yes you could watch one analog channel while recording a second analog channel, or watch one HDTV channel while recording a second analog HDTV channel.

Thanks for the responses. This was what I had suspected.

So if I only had 1 pcie slot in my HTPC and wanted to record 2 analog channels at the same time, what tuner do I need to buy?

Re: AVerMedia released AVerTV Combo PCI-E x1TV Tuner (Analog and ATSC/QAM Ready)

I'm sorry. I misunderstood! I was reading a post where the person said they had 2 M780 tuners and I thought that was who I was replying to. 1 M780 = 1 analog signal and 1 digital signal. 2 M780's = 2 analog and 2 digital. I don't know of any single tuner that will give you 2 analog signals in a single device. I wouldn't be surprised if they exist, but I am not personally aware of any. Sorry for the confusion on my part, guess I have to pay more attention to the name of the poster.

    Go Griz!!!

sorry if this has been posted but i don't see an option to search within a thread.

i have been running 2.5.64.25 drivers for a while now and noticed there is a newer version (26) out. can someone tell me what the differences are between these two versions, and are there any new problems people are having with these new ones?

    thanks

    WOW!
I have been using a HD Homerun with my MCE2005 setup. I just replaced it with this Aver card for NTSC, and I decided to try out the OTA ATSC.
I uninstalled the HDHR software. I then scanned for digital stations (in MCE2005)...I did not rerun the guide setup. To my great delight, for the first time I have the correct listings for the sub-channels!
Note that I had originally installed the guide for "digital listings" when setting up for the HDHR, (and did the whole remap thing) but could never get the sub-channels to display anything but the "main" channel info.
I did not make any other changes...

    Once again, wow...

    studio:
I have the same problem as well...APC_INDEX_MISMATCH...upon s3 sleep resume.  I have had this problem since i've had this AverTV Combo PCI-e.  I have re-installed vista 32 bit and same problem exists.  This is the only problem I have with all hardware or software.  Does it have something to do with "privjob or another driver, or is it hardware related?  I somehow think it's the tuner card and not media center, but maybe i'm wrong.  I also notice that if I open media center, play live tv, then sleep and resume, TV will work.  However, if I restart computer, sleep before opening media center, computer will crash with APC error.  Just some stuff I've noticed over the last year...same problem.

I sent an email to Felix and it looks like AVerMedia is looking into this issue.  Thanks Felix!

I have installed driver version .29 and no BSOD so far!  Felix said it should be available on Windows Update soon.  Great support.  Thanks Felix and AVerMedia.

The VistaView 2020 is a dual NTSC PCIe card. (NTSC or S/Composite Video)

I had one of these prior to purchasing the AverTV combo, and it sucked, at least it did for me. The sd on the one AverTV tuner looks better than either signal I got with that dual tuner card. Plus I felt the Vista View was a bit overpriced as well. I ended up returning it.

I tried getting this driver using your instructions for microsoft update and it only reinstalled the .27 drivers.

I checked the ftp site but the .29 drivers are not there either. Please indicate their location on the ftp site. Thanks.
