    Re: vmcNetFlix Beta 1.0.4.5 Release

After a brief run through, everything works very nicely, including episodes. Thanks for a really good plugin!

Now, if only Netflix alphabetizes its list of shows, and allow extender use of Watch Now...:-)

Episodes is not working correctly.  I chose Dexter from the Top 50.  Chose Play Episodes, then it displays 4 of 12 episodes... and the 4 are not in order.

    Re: vmcNetFlix Beta 1.0.4.5 Release

I'm still not sure why your having problems with the episode listings, I just opened Dexter again (Season 1), and I'm seeing all 12 of 12 episodes listed.  Could anyone else verify it is working or not for them?

killervette, could you try uninstalling and then installing version 1.0.4.5 - then see if you are having the same issues (that's all I can think to do right now).

    Thanks,

    Re: vmcNetFlix Beta 1.0.4.5 Release

i did the install on the latest version.  i am guessing netflix keeps track of what you watch and that changes the listings.  since i watching most of dexter, maybe it removed them from the list.  Great plugin!

    Extender Support Please?

I cannot begin to compliment you enough.  NetFlix surely must know that if someone like me is willing to sign up for their service after years of not believing in it just because it is in media center, that your software is worth their paying you to develop it.

In any case, I like a few others in the thread, would LOVE LOVE LOVE extender support.  I am willing to donate toward development (so you can get an extender or whatever you need).  I use my primary PC in a smaller room in my home but have 5 extenders throughout the house that I would love to watch the content on.  I know that I won't be able to watch 5 simultaneous streams, but just one at a time would be so wonderful.

I have abandonded some of the other plugins that you described in your first post for the same reasons that you've continued development, but I have to say that whoever can prouduce an extender working plugin (even if not as great as yours is now) will ultimately have my vote.

Please let me and the other interested readers know how we can help you develop the application in this way.

    -Regards

Re: New vmcNetFlix Add-In for Vista Media Center

    Sharp_1:

Not sure, but the 1.0.5.5 might fix your issue with not playing downloads ... there was a bug in that if UAC was turned on, there wasn't sufficient rights to play the downloaded files (because it's created by a service).  This version fixes that issue - still not clear why you cannot play the previews.

Most of the navigation issues should be resolved as well.

Previously, I was only displaying cover art in the details screen when in WideScreen - it's been modified to work in both now as well.

I also tamed the big ugly red Netflix logo =)

    Re: vmcNetFlix Beta 1.0.4.5 Release

It would be a nice feature for the settings page if you could allow end users to change the default directory for downloaded movies from C:\Public Videos\Netflix to something else if desired. Stuff in C:\Public Videos\ shows up under Pictures & Videos on both servers and extenders no matter what, so you cannot chose to ignore this folder if desired...

    Thanks!

Yep, this is one of the features I plan to implement.

    Re: vmcNetFlix Beta 1.0.4.5 Release

Oh, one other thing I wanted to ask about. When you play a Watch Now movie in the IE browser, it remembers where the movie was stopped if you resize or move the window to another desktop, and picks up where it left off. When playing from the plugin in the MC GUI, if you resize or move the window it will restart the movie from the beginning. And since you can't skip forward using the plugin, you end up just playing the movie in the browser so you can get to the point where you left off. It would be great if the plugin could remember where you are in the movie when performing these actions.

    Thanks again!

    I agree, a FF>> and <<RR is sorely needed.
