Xaeryth: strekship:Nope, still got the same error. I tried reinstalling DVRMSToolbox, but that didn't help either. Would it help if i uninstalled other codecs on my computer?
That is exactly the same thing that is happening to me. It used to work without a problem when I tried it with version 1.0.9.5 but it no longer works with 1.1.0.1. I keep getting the "Error in Do Work - ClassFactory cannot supply requested class" problem. Is there a newly added reliance on an MCE component? I noticed that the "Register ComSkip" script needed a file that was not in XP Pro's ehome folder and adding it stopped the errors in the script but still did not fix the ClassFactory error.
the addin isn't going to work on XP, it is an MCE only feature... nothing has changed in the convert to mpeg action b/w 1.0.9.5 and the current rev... so I'm a bit confused why it's broken. have you installed any dvd or mpeg editing programs?

strekship:so your older version works? I might go back and try previous versions if i can't get this one to work.
i didn't mean that a previous version might fix it... fw recordings did work at one time, timmoore has made many changes to the application that creates the files so I can't say if it still does. i haven't tried it in a long time (it's not really necessary because sa supports hd files).

Bab, you magnificent b@st@rd you. I just finished tickling my girlfriend for about 20 good seconds out of shear excitement due to the toolbox running on my Vista box. I'm freakin' excited!
I thought I should check out your blog to see the progress and i saw the v version. AMAZING! Will let you know if I find anything, but I'm guessing it's solid since you released it.
By the way, THANK YOU for putting in the commercialskipaddin registration directly in the installation. That was awesome. Oh! and for building in the settings for SA (process when done and pointing it to the commercialsxml folder by default). I ran the installation and started MCE, I didn't have to do anything, freakin awesome.
and lastly, I think it's time for you to finally consider at least accepting donations. I remember you said a while ago that you were not willing to accept anything because your work was based on others. I think clearly at this point you have put enough work into these releases to deserve something. This app alone is responsible for increasing my WAF by at least 3 times.
Thanks again Bab, it is VERY MUCH appreciated.

(man, I've just been watching some recorded tv. the show had not been analyzed, i pressed the right arrow and it said there was no xml file created, i said yes to search, and it's been 30 mins of playback now, I JUST REALIZED that it's automatically forwarding!!! never used to do that!!! I used to have to stop and start the playback after about 10 mins. amazing, again, just amazing.)

Re: DVRMSToolbox: Automated Commercial Detection, Skipping, and much more.
Question for everybody:
Has anybody got a way to use DVRMSToolBox and go from DVRMS to Xvid? Maybe using ffmpeg?
In my experience converting to WMV blows. Virtually every time I convert to WMV, the process gets to 99.99% or 100% and then hangs there forever - stealing all of my cpu cycles in the process.
I prefer XviD to WMV anyway. I'd love to have a process denifed in DVRMSToolBox where I could select "DVRMS->XviD w/o Commercials" It would seem it shouldn't be too difficult to go to MPEG and then convert that to XviD with ffmpeg. But I have no VB or other programming skills, and don't know how to make this happen.
If you have a method that works, or are interested in working towards this, please let me know.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Yep! You can use mencoder, and use the Run External Process action. I have a profile that does the following:
- Convert from DVRMS to MPEG
- Renames the MPEG
- Convert the MPEG to XviD (using mencoder)
- Delete the MPEG
The only catch is that I do not believe there is anyway to update the output file context to point to the resulting AVI file. So, you can't use this to automatically convert to XviD and copy to your PocketPC.

To onlydarksets:
Can you post the profile or the text contents for this mencoder/divx function. I have never been able to get a WMV from Toolbox on commercial-cut files. TIA!

Re: DVRMSToolbox: Automated Commercial Detection, Skipping, and much more.
Hey,
I am just wondering why the new version is not working for me. Filewatcher will find a new file when it is created but the log for that file is
InputFile=E:\Recorded TV\star trek- deep space nine_spiketv_04_10_2006_13_13_30.dvr-ms Processing actions, this may take some time!! Testing "Processed Files" Testing "Every File" "Every File" is a match. Profile = nativecommdetect ProcessId = 4800 Throttle DVRMStoMPEG FWThrottle: E:\Recorded TV\star trek- deep space nine_spiketv_04_10_2006_13_13_30.dvr-ms Duration = 00:00:00 Waiting to process... Processing now... Find Commercials in file Object reference not set to an instance of an object. No commercials found Duration = 00:00:05.2343750
Any help would be appreciated!
PS I can run it manually and it works fine
