    @charger2000:

    Hehe, yes i can, otherwise I wouldn't be publishing a version (everything works on my systems as it should be). So now it is the bizar viarities out there in the world that make the program behave weird as in, I need to make it compatible, and that's where you guys come in

    Hi,

    I am not able to download the file at http://heimiko.com/AutoIndex/index.php?dir=AutoDVRconvert/. It says corrupt zipfile.

    @mtimmerm:

    Please re-download, and try once more. Your download might have been corrupted. (common internet issue that might occur once a while). To be assured that you really retry, empty your browsers cache (in option) before trying to download once more.

    RE: NEW: Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility!

    Hi Heimiko, I'm excited to try this out.  I have installed v 1.2 as well as the directshow filters files.  I think I am having the same issues as bluescreenz ("one or more ds filters could not be added to the graph").  I don't know much about using graphedit, but I have saved a DVR-MS file as an XML for you to see my filter usage. Here is the code:

    <GRAPH version="1.0">

    <FILTER ID="Video_Renderer" clsid="{B87BEB7B-8D29-423F-AE4D-6582C10175AC}">

    I don't know anything about making a filter that will work for my computer.  Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to get your program working for me?

    Thanks for sharing this, I'm sure it will be a valuable tool for me.

    RE: NEW: Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility!

    @ojnotmilk:

    In your case, it is obvious that you didn't register one or more filters properly.

    There's a batch file included. Execute this one, and it will register the filters you need.

    After that, try again please

    RE: NEW: Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility!

    Heimko,

    Just wanted to say thanks very much for this application.

    It works fine on my media centre, and now lets me watch ITV programs in the UK via my XBOX (for some reason, XBOX media center cannot show ITV programs correct through the XBOX extender).

    Many thanks again,

    Pete

    RE: NEW: Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility!

    Hey Heimiko,

    Sure enough, I registered filters and it works like a charm.  This is really a great program.  Thank you for sharing this.

    The only suggestion I could add would be maybe a % completion number or a "time left" bar that says how long until conversion is done.  I love this program though.

    Thanks for all your help and hard work.

    RE: NEW: Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility!

    well I solved my little problem, about converted MPG files not playing within MCE, from WMP 10, I unchecked the "automatic codec download" from the options, now the files are played flawlessy

    P.S. is it normal to loose the Fast forward and rewind function with theese mpg files ?

    RE: NEW: Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility!

    Do you think you will add the ability for the software to find the commmercials and cut them out automatically!

    Id pay for such software...as well as tons of other people. Though selling it could cause you a possible lawsuit, if you live in a country in bed with the US copyright industry. Shareware would get around that issue!

    Cheers, Chaser

    RE: NEW: Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility!

    this is pretty darn cool, this combined with another homebrew app PSP Video 9 should automatically convert and load my PSP with my new shows overnight.

    If the product works as described the following should happen...

    1. TV Program is recorded
    2. Automated DVR-MS to MPG conversion utility (long name) automatically p****s Recorded TV directory for new DVR-MS files and converts.
    3. PSP Video 9 automatically p****s the directory containing the newly converted MPGs and converts them to the requisite MP4 file.
    4. PSP Video 9 searches for connected PSP (or Memory Stick) and loads files automatically.

    Thats freakin' awesome, you guys are doing some seriously cool work... quick question seeing that the DVR-MS is a MPEG file with a wrapper (much like QuickTime and MP4) how long is the conversion process?

    BTW - PSP Video 9 is essentially and Front-end for ffmpeg, with a few other bells and whistles...

    Heimiko,
    No luck with a graph on my own. Let me know if you're still interested in a Dvr-ms file of mine.I'd really like to get this working.
