RE: [PlugIn] Web Media Release Candidate 1 (was Web Radio)
Hi, I've send out a testversion to test if the changes I made to Web Media would 'Enable' it for Media Extenders and I have gotten confirmation that it works. (The stations configured on the MCE back show up on the extender, and audio streams can be played) Unfortunatly .asx video streams are not supported on an extender, but I would like to know if there are any other video streaming formats that ARE supported on an extender, can anyone comment on this? If streaming video is impossible on an Extender, should Web Media 'hide' those stations when the plug-in is viewed on an Extender or do you guys don't mind seeing them? Thanks, Danee

RE: [PlugIn] Web Media Release Candidate 1 (was Web Radio)
I am happy to announce that a new version of Web Media is available at www.mcesoft.nl The new version, Web Media Release Candidate 1.3 supports playback on Media Center Extenders! Other changes are: - The installer is no longer a executable zip file, but a real installer - Fixed missing click sound on remote operations - Added Norwegian (Norsk) language file - Added a Check Version function on the about screen Because of the Extender support I had to change the location where the settings are saved, please read the readme file after install, I have included a little program to move the settings for you. Cheers, Danee

RE: [PlugIn] Web Media Release Candidate 1 (was Web Radio)
how about being able to import/export media stations. ie. if someone had a ****load of station links in web media, then instead of everybody else rebuilding them, just simply being able to import them would be great. also, we have to add the stations into media center. would it not be better (and easier) to do that side of things within windows itself?

Danee
Is impossible to have say a Zoom Player or a Winamp to be called upon within the plug in to do the playing of the content? This is a Microsoft product and thus only WMP files are supported. This is a great plug in and I have many things to watch, but I sure wish I could watch Cnn.ram, ABCnews.ram, MLB(major league baseball).ram and tons of Winamp TV streams as well.
I know you say either this can't be done or it wouldnt be easy to do, but I thought Id ask again.
Thanks again for this awesome plug in, my family and I are enjoying it!
Cheers, Chaser

RE: [PlugIn] Web Media Release Candidate 1 (was Web Radio)
Hi Chaser, Getting 'unsupported' streams playing in WMP not easily done. I can see if I can have Web Media 'launch' another player when needed, but that will require some input and help from testers. (I don't run any other player on my MCE and will not either, I can however test other players on my W2K or 'normal' XP machine) Let me know if you can help me out helping you out you have my emailaddress Cheers, Danee

RE: [PlugIn] Web Media Release Candidate 1 (was Web Radio)
Everithing goes fine with opening WebMedia, untill i click a direct link to a radio station, for example Radio 538. I'm sure it isn't because of the wrong link to a stream, but i don't know what it could be?!

RE: [PlugIn] Web Media Release Candidate 1 (was Web Radio)
Thanks for the heads up in regards to the new website. Im always looking for new streams, as well as testing them out in regards to if there worth having on my list.
My favorites are:
Mania TV Kulak's Woodshed MTV Live Rnn TV(New York City News) Bloomberg TV High TV(eXtreme sports)
Anyone able to tune into HBO Asia or CNN Internet streams? HBO never worked previously and now it still does not, same goes for CNN. I thought the link on this new website would provide a different host where upon the stream would be fine, but still no luck. It takes a while to begin the stream and then audio continues, but video stops.
Cheers, Chaser

RE: [PlugIn] Web Media Release Candidate 1 (was Web Radio)
Well, running 1.3 rc1 here, on a Dutch MCE 2005, but got some weird things...
- After stopping a internet radio stream, then changing to my music, start playing an album, results in hearing the internet radio stream again in stead of the selected album only exiting and restarting the media center gui solves this.
- While adding or editing a station, it is not possible to use the remote control to enter numbers or letters. (well, it is a hell of a job typing an url with the rc... but it would be useful, when you want to rename a station or correct a typo....)
- When clicking on a button, i always have to click next to the name. clicking on the name won't work ?
- On the front page it says My Webmedia ins stead of Mijn Webmedia.
/* not quite crazy, nor insane, just right on the borderline */
