Anyone get this working with the new Linksys DMA2100/2200? I keep getting a codec missing error. Works fine from my Vista MCE computer, but not from the extender.

The beta download page at http://www.mirawebware.com/beta.htm is not available:-(

Also, how come stuff like France 24 English is not available? (It's available in French and Arabic, but the English channel is missing.) Sky is missing as well.

Finally, is there a way to get in stuff like CNN International, BBC 24, Sky News, etc, which seem available at freetv.com?

    Thanks for a great plugin.

Is this project still active. The last time the author posted was the 28/10/07 and his website says the project is on hold due to copyright issues.

Does anyone have the install files from the last release they can host or send me please, Id still like to try this program out.

    Cheers.

    (pm me for email)

    Hi,

I no longer have the installation files but I do still have the software installed but it says omething similar.....not available due to copyright issues.  If you still want the installation files, they may still be available at www.download.com

Ah OK, I would have thought that the program would still stream with it geting its data from a third party site. never mind though. Ive email the author but got no reply as of yet. Lets hope he`s still around to let us know what is happening.

    Cheers

PS. Are there any other programs that anyone knows of that will do the same as this one ?

PPS. Managed to DL "MiraWorldTV_5.1_Setup.msi" from download.com. Not going to install yet though, no point if its not working ...

As far as I recall, the author used his own database for the streams - therefore once he has encountered copyright issues, I assume he simply pulled down the database.

There is always Webmedia (www.mcesoft.nl) but you have to enter all the streams yourself - It's a great plugin but I much prefer this one since all the work is already done (or was until recently) and much nicer interface.  I don't know of any other plugins similar to this but I too would be very interested, so let us know on here if anyone finds anything?

Is there a current list of available streams somewhere, with addresses which can be used with WebMedia?

I know CNN streams several channels, so does SkyNews, so does France 24. But I haven't been able to find links which would work in something like WebMedia.

    You could try: http://www.channelking.com/
Once the channel is streaming, right click and select properties and then copy and paste the URL into Webmedia.  You could also try www.wwitv.com for lots of other streams.  Note that only streams that work in Windows Media Player will work in Webmedia, quicktime, flash and RealPlayer, etc formats will not work

    Hope this helps a little.

Re: Introducing MiraWorldTV - Vista MCE plugin to watch worldTV.

I've just downloaded MiraWorldTV and tried to install it but I get a message saying "MiraWorldTV can only be installed on Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate Edition"

I'm running on Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 & TV Pack 2008.

Has anyone else had any problems installing this or know of any work around?
