Re: TVCollection Manager - Bugs and Feature Requests

Hey, Yup, the Export button has an icon and yes, I do have rights to both the Program Files dir, and the dir which all my files are located within. No idea about this one, I used 0.6 but had a hard drive fail so I had to re-install everything...

Sorry, travidbell I misread your problem.  I didn't realize that the link was an actual screenshot of the error.

I will look at the error message in more detail this evening.

Heh, it's all good. I can't figure out how to create actual links on this forum... might have something to do with me being on a Mac and the WYSIWYG bar not showing up for me...

    Anyways, thanks!

Re: TVCollection Manager - Bugs and Feature Requests

I'm having an issue with the Collection Manager. When I try to import shows from my TV directory it is only grabbing the last few folders and finding matches for them, it doesn't seem to be looking at all of them. Is there a way to fix this?

Re: TVCollection Manager - Bugs and Feature Requests

I checked the collection.xml, no problems with runtime.  I changed to only one Series to see if that would work.  I used Burn Notice to test.  It said it completed, but there are no XML files in the directory???

Re: TVCollection Manager - Bugs and Feature Requests

Do you have your naming scheme set to match your file names?  If they don't match, then it will not "see" any matching video files - thus not exporting any .xml files.

Re: TVCollection Manager - Bugs and Feature Requests

Ok, so that was part of the problem.  I missed the x for e.  I have everything exported except for MacGyver.  I have seasons 1 - 7, and only 4-7 exported.  something is up with 1-3.

What type of files are they?  Do you have that filetype listed in the extension field in the export tab?

I found a issue with reading of directory names.  If the directory was read-only or not indexed it would skip the directory.  The issue will be fixed in the next build.

Did it export any xml files? If so which one did it stop on?

Are you exporting the movies collection too?

    Thanks

    TVCollection Manager 0.8

An updated version of TVCollection Manager is available at TVCollection Manager Setup 0.8

    Bug Fixes:

    • Import not processing all directories
    • Export not handling runtime field correctly (error - input string was not in correct format)
    • Added several error traps to bypass incorrect invalid data files

No it only created the folderdetails.ini file.  I tried reducing the collection to just one series but it still bombs.  Even in newest version 0.8,  I tried leaving the export movies on aswell but it always bombs says cannot find table 0.  I assume its because I have no movie collection.

I also looked through the xml tags in the collection.xml but couldn't see any problems as well as the xml for the series in the database.

Last but not least I tried switched the only series in the collection.xml with another to see if maybe it was that particular series which was giving me grief but still bombed.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    throgmorton,

Can you send me your collection.xml file to benwoodring at gmail dot com.

Also, what values do you have in the episode pattern box and extentions box?  A screenshot of the app before you click the export button could help as well.
