    Re: myTV v1.0.08038c released

That isn't exactly what I'm wanting to do.  I don't have the rest of the series, so I don't want to have the series banner displayed just to go into it and see one special.  I would like to group them all together  in one custom series called whatever I like.  Any way to do this?

    Re: myTV v1.0.08038c released

I have a quick question on MyTV - I have a few German language editions of shows that I also have the original English versions as well.  For my language, I'd like the xml data to show up in German for the German editions, and English for the English.  Is there some way to get MyTV to recognize this?

    Thanks,

    James

Ah - I didn't even know about that one - Surface Area Configuration.  That's new to me.  I tried, and it said it couldn't connect to the SQL server to give me permissions.  Odd...

Your best bet for answering questions regarding myTv is to visit the forums located at http://mytv.senseitweb.com/forums/ as I don't think this thread is monitored too much any longer.

Does anyone know of any problems? The mytv.seneitweb.com web site seems to be down. I'm getting time outs.

Yes, it seems to be currently down.  There have been a few problems the last week - off and on - but I would assume at least a temp solution will occur to get it up online soon.

I'm also unable to load the myTV website.  It's been down all weekend and still is.  I'm having issues with my db and woiuld like support for my paid software.  What's going on? Anyone hear from them?

Why not post your problem?  I'm a beta-tester and could possibly help.

    Re: myTV v1.0.08038c released

The sql server that ran the website broke and was running temporarily from another machine. It appears that something may have gone wrong.

spplutchok as bledsoe says, post your problem here and we will help.

We've seen most of the problems and should be able to help.

    Re: myTV v1.0.08038c released

Thanks for the info about myTVs SQL problems.  I'm looking forward to them getting back online.

I was able to resolve my db issue in a roundabout way.  I have a few series that I deleted from the myTV db and from the HDD.  When I start VMC and enter myTV, the shows error out stating that the folder on the HDD can't be found.  How do I remove them from myTV after deleting them from the db? I restored the show folders back onto the HDD, let myTV detect them and choose the SkipFolder option when myTV offered a selection.  Is there a proper way to delete folders off my HDD after removing them from the myTV db?

Check to make sure the 'Check for Missing Shows on startup' option is checked in the settings screen and the 'Load missing shows' is not.

If the settings are correct, you should be able to remove the directory from the Filesystem and when you load myTV it will say that the show is not found and ask you if you want to delete from the DB.

Select yes and it will remove from the db.

    Re: myTV v1.0.08038c released

Anyone know if the new release is out of beta?  I purchased mytv a few weeks ago but was waiting for the next release before activating so I'm still using the trial.  I'm afriad that my trial will run out and I will not be able to get the official release if the website is down.  I guess I should have downloaded the old version when I had a chance.

    Re: myTV v1.0.08038c released

It isn't out yet, but most likely had a good chance of being so if the website problems didn't occur.  I emailed Arne, and hopefully he will pop over here to give an update.  I'm unsure if his email is still going thru since the site is down though.

I tried emailing Arne too and got a bounce back saying it was undeliverable, I assume its part of the website problems.
