I have installed TV Pack on a clean Vista SP1 install. Most things are working fine, but I keep getting a message box saying "windows video analysis process stopped working and was closed" When I close this message I get another message saying that Data Execution Prevention (DEP) has stopped this process.
Other problems I have are:
1. At the start of a scheduled recording and while watching another TV channel, I get a message satying No Tuner available, but the recording starts anyway and works fine.
2. During Video playback, it will work fine for a long time then freeze and stutter so bad I have to restart.
3. While watching TV or ripped DVD, I have has the PC crash completely and re-start.
My system is:
Q6600 quad core CPU, ASUS PM5E VM HDMI mobo with Intel G35 GPU, 3GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, BTG 3540 Blackgold dual DVB-T and dual DVB-S tuner, GDI ???? single DVB-T tuner, LG HD-DVD/BD player.
Vista SP1, TV Pack 2008, Power DVD 7.3 for BD/HD playback, Any DVD HD, Virtual Clone Drive, My Movies 2.5 client.
I've got the latest drivers for everything and all recommended and important windows updates.
Are these problems related? Why does DEP stop the video analysis process? Which DLL/EXE is the video analysis process - if I know I can tell DEP to leave it alone.
WAF has hit rock bottom since I moved from XP MCE to TV Pack. I don't want to have to go back and loose BBC HD and BD/HD DVD. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Ben
