    zicoz:
Does OML play BR folder structures? Say, if I point one movie to the index.bdmv file, will that launch TMT and play the movie?

I send one of the developers some BluRay and HDDVD structure files to play with about a week ago, hopefully they will find the time to include this in the next release.

I ripped all my movies this way, and it's the only way I will be able to use OML.

Will it play blu ray ISO's? I think OML is great, it looks amazing, but whenever I select to watch a blu ray movie, it seems to try to load it into mediacenter and gives me an error saying mediacenter can't play blu- rays. Can it some how open up powerdvd or which ever bluray app someone is using? I searched through all the settings and couldn't find this.

I have a question about the now-playing indicator in the bottom of OML.

When there is some type of content playing (not started by OML - as far as i can tell) It displays "Stopped: Playing an unknown movie".

Are there any plans on changing this? It seems silly to display that it is playing a movie when a song is being played or live tv is being watched.

Does anyone else have any input on this?

Yes, I would prefer to have this removed or handled as in Sams (salamis) Video Browser.

When navigating pressing the "down" button when standing on the bottom row of cover art should take you to the top row of the next column instead.

This would give a better flow stepping through your collection

This can be changed.  I will take a look at it.

Unfortunately we need that status somewhere and the ability to move to it. If we make it as you suggest then you could never move to it.

Either way, the UI is not set in stone so things can change in the future.

OML does not do the actual playback so you will need either PowerDVD8 or TMT to play back BluRay disc's.  They should be stored as iso's for now.  DaemonTool's will be used to mount them.  Beward that the latest version of Daemon Tool's does cause issues with iso's which are loaded and both software players have issues playing it back.

It's being looked at to also allow use of CloneDrive to load iso's.

Re: Open Media Library - souce posted

Hi, I do have all 3 major blu ray apps installed on my system. I also have damon tools. When I manually mount an ISO outside of mediacenter, it all works fine, but if I use OML to select a blu ray ISO, it seems like mediacenter tries to play the ISO instead of opening up the blu ray player and so I get a mediacenter error that says something like, no blu ray playback allowed in mediacenter. How can I set up OML so that when I click 'Watch' on a blu ray ISO, it will use damon tools to mount it and then automatically open up, say, Totalmedia Theater?

I'm also wondering if there are any plans on changing placement of items in the movie descriptions.

The first change I would make is move the title to where "Play Movie" is and then move that to the upper right hand corner (same line).

Another option instead of that would be to move the cover down so it would be lined up with the title and then the "Play Movie could stay centered or perhaps be aligned to the left.

I also think that adding another column for the Actors list would be beneficial since more than half of the available actors are usually cut off for me.

Has there been any thought given to changing this at all? I'd love to hear some thoughts as I don't quite think it's complete just yet.

I'll second the actors list. It doesn't necessarily need another line, but should be scrollable the way the the synopsis is.

The details screens is changing, the Actors will be on their own 'tab' or pivot how it's called in the VMC world.  This way we can show pictures and other things when the transition to the SQL database is done.

Re: Open Media Library - souce posted

Hey Guys, I'm new to this project but I'm having some trouble getting this setup. I've done a little searching but haven't seen anything.

I installed the program using the latest MSI available on the project page, I am able to get into the OML Database Editor, but nothing shows up in VMC. What do I need to do in order to get the OML icon in VMC? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I cant find any documentation on this.

I'm running Vista Ultimate x64 with the TV Pack.

    Thanks

I'm not sure if TV Pack is supported yet, but have you imported all of your movies into the Database editor yet? If so, I believe they should show up.

Re: Open Media Library - souce posted

All I can say is this is a very nice and welcomed addition to my Media Center.

I can't believe the progress you guys have been making and how well it works, great job.

I have a request though, is it possible to have the ability to easily sort movies based on last added to the system ?
I know that there is a function for that but it is in the settings menu and takes a few steps to use.
Reason I would like it is if I have new movies then they are easier to quickly find if sorted by last added, but I normally like to have the films sorted by a to z.

Anyway if its possible to get on front page that would be great, otherwise I'm really impressed.

    Thanks.
