Hi Guys,
I am/was experiencing the same issue with some very choppy unwatchable channels of late (1.0.3.266 drivers). As I am in the proccess of configuring my new Media Center I played around with a few things and then rebuilt it again (I refuse to tlet the wife use it before it is stable :o). This time I installed the 1.0.3.255 drivers and the Power Cinema software. It was still choppy (blocky) on ITV and Channel 4, so I tried it in MC and it was also choppy. Then I decided to update the driver to 1.0.3.266 by going to Device Manger and updating the Bridge component with this driver (Right click porperties -> Driver tab-> Update driver), rebooted. I tried Power Cinima and it was still choppy, then I tried MC and ITV and Channel were fine. I set the tv to record over night put it to sleep and went to bed. Heven behold it worked and the shows it recorded were fine.
Just for Kicks I decided then I had not updated the other two components so I updated these idividually and checked this in both pieces of software and the did exactly the same after each update. They worked in MC but not Power Cinema.
Currently it seems to be working fine on all tried channels other than BBC Three (Which my Television seem so to play fine, so I guess it is not a signal strenghth issue).
So by installing the old 1.0.3.255 driver and then updating it to 1.0.3.266 driver I seem to have resolved most (not BBC Three) of the choppyness issues. I haven't had the guts to rebuild the MC since, so I don't know if this will work for everyone.
I am using the Oxford transmitter and I have updated Vista with all the latest patches including the new reliablilty and performance ones. Please let me know if this helps.
Kind regards
