Er, not really! It's only 1 codec and a codec pack, install them in that order and that should be it! Takes about 5 minutes?

    Oh, no...

KLite's always been buggy and riddled with malware, at least in my experience! Would CoreAVC and CCCP not work for you?

I've disassembled and removed the timebomb, at least I think so.
I tried it on my system and SDTV still works.
HD doesn't work for me though, maybe it's my FloppyDTV-S2?

Can someone please try and let me know the results?

Sounds like good news.  I'll give it a go with my Freesat DVB-S in the UK tonight when I get home.  Fingers crossed!

Did HD work for you earlier ?

If you actually cracked the DLL, you should open a Paypal account and accept donations. I guess a lot of people are waiting for this to happen ;)

Open a PayPal - if I get this to work I'll make a donation!  (Hint to MS:  You're missing some revenue here)

Can you try fast forwarding and rewinding either a recording or livetv - does it still crash if you go past 2x speed?

Hi Tony, did you have that problem too?  I thought it was just me (assuming you mean with HD stuff like BBC-HD or Luxe HD UK?)  I couldn't queue either way with 2 different nvidia cards but as soon as I put in an ATI HD 3850 it worked beautifully.  Unfortunately this card caused other issues with my system so I had to go back to my Nvidia 8500.

Since DE released the Fiji-drivers for FloppyDTV-S2 I haven't tried HD with the beta dll. But I guess that with these drivers it never worked, because MC see the card as a DVB-S and not DVB-T (as with the old emulated drivers).
When I used the old drivers (DVB-T emulation) HD worked with the beta dll.

I could reinstall my card with the old drivers and see if it works, but too much work to scan and arrange all my channels again.
That's why I want you guys to try it out for me.

    Good Work SysRq

Can you reveal what you did? I would like to apply the same changes to the x64 version if anyone cares to 'ahem' show me where I can find the file from the Beta?

Just tried it on my hauuppage nova-hd-s2 card, with no luck - got the sound and "Digital Audio Service" message.

EDIT - This is the same for both HD and SD.

Er, guys, shouldn't that DLL be about 1.5mb in size? It's about the same size as the current DLL... :S

Re: TV Pack 2008 Beta MSDTVVDEC.DLL.

Yeah, just checked - the beta dll (with timebomb) is 1.5mb.

The "deactivated" one is 750kb? That's deffo the same size as the current dll, so has the wrong one been uploaded?
