Thanks J.  This link is not accessible through the corp net for some reason.  It should be easy enough for the content provider to update the headend externally using the data at http://www.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/tvguide/tvlistingsalternate

As a suggestion it would be great if BDS could monitor this site for both UK and Ireland EPG's as changes are quite frequent.

Is BDS not contracted to provide this service ? If yes, you should highlight to the account manager / buyer who is managing that relationship that they are not keeping the EPG up to date ! I would hate to think a partner/supplier is being paid for something they are not delivering on.....Wink [;)]

Looking forward to a fully functioning up-to-date EPG soon ! Smile [:)]

FYI, looks like Sky released another EPG update over the weekend re-ordering a number of channels.

The link however does reflect this so is still accurate.

    Hi eddiem74,

We received a response from the provider that this issue has been updated however, it's expected that the Sky lineup should contain channels well into the 900 range. The site you provided as a resource only goes to 789.

Can you please confirm whether or not there should be channels there? (the lineup has been updated all the way to tuning position 789.

    Hi Chris/Team,

Yes, the channels should run into the 900 range I will e-mail Sky Support and see if this can be fixed?

So, I updated my guide today, and there has been some updates for sure, which is great to see as that would indicate we now have the right people engaged to resolve this. Cool [H]

I reviewed channels 101 to 332, and found the following:

    Channels Missing:

112 Living (not listed on Sky website but should be, will e-mail support)

    197 Life

    215 HallMark +1

    271 Mainstreet

    290 Diva TV +1

Channel listed but not on Sky EPG

    204

Yeah, I saw some updates last week, however:

    1) There are still many channels with no data available

    2) Sky has once more done some EPG updates / channel moves/re-numbering, so once again there are channels out of synch. Sad [:(]

I have been contacted by Sky with regard to there website link but it is going nowhere fast. Sad [:(]

This is getting pretty painful to resolve as this stage........ Indifferent [:|] Sorry losing the faith a little.....

Sorry if I am butting in, I am having the same problems with the Sky EPG in the UK. Are you getting channel infomation for the SKY1, SKY2, UKTV and other Pay TV channels as I am only getting full channel listings for the FTA/FTV channels.

I have had to uninstall the TV Pack in order to get access to the full Sky EPG.

Hi guys, been following this one with interest for a while, while I have to say thanks for your help in getting the EPG issues sorted out this is getting to be a pain in the neck, there's way too many channels with no details, and the constant changing of the channel line up by Sky without any similar update on the EPG is wearing me down. I've no doubt that the changing of the channel line up by Sky is a definite ploy to move people away from HTPC and towards Sky+ boxes. Surely if someone or some company is being paid to monitor the EPG then it can be checked and changed on a weekly basis?

Hope I'm not sounding too negative, I do appreciate the work done so far, it's just every time the EPG is updated it seems like it's only a week or two before we're back at square one...

believe me we all understand your frustrations.

However all I can do at this point is try to work with the content provider to sort out as many of these issues as we can.

If you can provide details of the current restructuring and a web site with the correct information I can get that information to some one who may be able to make some changes.

    Thanks for your continued support.

    J

Thank you all for reporting the issues you have been seeing. I will contact our provider and see if they can provide any insight into why so many changes are being made to these lineups and as well see if there is anything we can do to expedite changes.

If you find any other issues, don't hesitate to post them and we'll do everything we can to get them resolved as quickly as possible.
