streaming video jukebox: Sometimes you find great streaming videos online and you want to share them with your friends and family when they come for a visit.  A jukebox type of system would be ideal for that and so much more! Count me in as a YES

Thanks Dufus, I may try that site out again? When I tried it it was really choppy and I had to download something Im not familiar with(Abacast). I saw an article about that site in Wired.com.

As for creating videos on demand in WebMedia that would be cool, but Id prefer more constant streams and the ability to view .ram or other non supported Windows Media files. I saw ABCNews or another big network streams, but only in .RAM format. Also Starz movie channel(paid cheap monthly fee) streams only in .RAM

Hey Danee

Would you know how to fix URLs not loading up from within Media Center? For example I choose Online Spotlight and I get a "Can't find URL make sure its right...etc." I also get these same errors using Internet TV(this plug in).
I am able to take the same URLs and copy/paste them into Windows Media player where I can view them fine.

This is on my 2nd machine...in case your wondering.

Hi I just installed 1.2 of web media and I get a "unable to load C:\mcesoft\web media\webmedia.htm"  Is there something I can do to fix this problem.

Yes you can, the Release Candidate has to be installed in C:\Program Files\mcesoft and not in the root of your drive. The next release will have an installer in which it doesn't matter where you install it.

I experience the same problem:

when i entered the URL of a radiostation and i try to play that station i get an error: file could not be found at specific location or is corrupt.

In winamp or mediaplayer the same url is played with no errors at all!

Problem solved: wrong URLS entered!

Unfortunately that is not strange... Media Center uses Windows Media Player to play Music and Video, but unfortunately it doesn't support all features that Windows Media Player supports. I've also seen some 'enhanced' asx streams that are troublesome in Media Center.

And even more unfortunately: We will have to wait until Microsoft will have Media Center handle those features in the right way.

Ok, So I have a new version ready that I think will work with an Extender

I need someone that will test it for me, but since I'm writing the config to a different area of the registry I need someone who knows how to export registry keys, change a .reg file and import it again (otherwise all configured stations will be lost) on the other hand, if you don't have much stations configured and don't mind adding them again you can also apply

If this works, I will included a 'migration' tool with the next version offcourse, but I see no sense in making one if the change I made will be rolled back when it turns out not to be the solution for extenders.

Is there currently anyway to add a Yahoo LaunchCast Radio station to Web Media?  My friend has LaunchCast Pro.  The link he provides to add the station just takes me to a web page with a "Launch" button.  Is there a way I can obtain the actual web address for the streaming station?

What does Launchcast stream in? Meaning what is the last part of the URL..the extension? Is it .asx...thats a supported extenstion, but .ram or .rm will only play in Real Player(arggh).
