I couldn't resist.  Ordered mine Monday.  Can't wait.

Killing me that the 9th Tee doesn't have an order tracking system.  Just checking every day....

Has anyone tried this in the Washington DC/ Northern Virginia area yet?  I've heard a rumor that Comcast in this area has decided to encrypt everything.

I got an e-mail that had the UPS tracking number in it (after it shipped). Try e-mailing them, or maybe they are back-ordered now?

Mine arrives today... (please UPS don't screw this up).

Wouldn't that violate an FCC regulation? I thought there was one requiring them to carry the Major channels that are available OTA in the area in the clear.

According to a thread over on the AVSForum, (from my interpretation as it's very unclear), it doesn't violate any regulation as long as they still carry the Major Nets on the Std. Cable (not digital). So watch out people.

Resistance is Futile - I have been assimilated. Life is better in the Collective.

HDHomeRun on it's way, returned a WinTV-HVR-1600 I just bought, as QAM or OTA this is a better solution for me.

Re: HD Homerun- QAM Support working!!

Received mine yesterday. After much problems getting it set up (the re-mapping of existing ota channels was not clear in the instructions, as they will conflict with the actual downloaded channels if you've set that up already, so I had to figure it out).

I now can watch all the QAM HDTV Networks! And they record perfectly fine too.

The channel switching is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY faster than the DVICO tuners.

Can't wait till both tuners are working.  Now I have my MCE machine setup perfectly (I only wish Analog Cable weren't so snowy on some channels.)

Is this with vista? How hard is it to remap channels??

Can we expect a help guide in the near future??? please....

Re: HD Homerun- QAM Support working!!

It's not that hard, it just wasn't clear. I posted a little bit of a how-to on the hardware's forum. And no this wasn't in Vista, but it should be the same as Vista 32 bit (64 bit isn't supported, yet)

Am I the only one that could care less about Vista now? I can't justify that upgrade, and I'll lose my extender.

Re: HD Homerun- QAM Support working!!

I'll be installing my HDHomeRun (arrives Monday) under Vista, I don't anticipate problems, I'll let you know how it goes. Going to create my map file before it arrives.

Re: HD Homerun- QAM Support working!!

Just re-mapped over 40 channels (some are the Audio only channels and VODs)

I couldn't be happier, got rid of my antenna! Now I'm rockin!

Can't wait for dual tuners to get implemented (can't be more than a week considering they got QAM done in like a day).

Re: HD Homerun- QAM Support working!!

Jafa said in one of his posts that he expects dual tuners to be released this week.  I didn't bother mapping most of my qam channels since I'll never watch them.  I just did the 7 HD channels that I get over clear qam.  I can't wait until the second tuner is enabled.  I'll be in great shape with 4 tuners running.  I might even take one out and throw it in my test pc since I'll never record 4 things at the same time.  I think at this point I may never upgrade to vista even though I have a free upgrade coupon.

Re: HD Homerun- QAM Support working!!

I didn't see Jafa saying that... I must have missed it (the dual tuner support this week).

I won't upgrade to Vista either, I don't see any advantage (yet). I'm very happy with the QAM support that is available now (finally after 2 years of waiting...).
