I never really got my MCE to index my music the right way so I tried different media centers. I think most alternatives are pretty difficult to configure. I recently found a media center called ZIIZAP (www.ziizap.com) which had a very easy and straight forward setup wizard. It has all the features I need like music, movie, photo and TV so I now use it on my HTPC. I am especially happy about the way they correctly index and extract info from my music (even those that dont have tags).
