Re: EPG issues on Virgin Media

Bump - It's been a month since it was escalated to BDS.

I know they should be busy fixing the TV Pack series data, and I didn't honestly expect any movement on the DMAX, MTV R & Movies 24+ issues as they've been open (and reported) issues for months now, but...

Two channel renames - how hard can that be for them?

Two +1 channels when the EPG data for the main channel is already fully there. Again, how hard can that be?

Re: EPG issues on Virgin Media

    Hi Mark

DMAX should be there I just checked the raw data can you give me the headend id you are using?  I have touched bases again about Movies +24 and MTV R is not a contracted channel so there is nothing I can do about that one.

    Thanks

    J

Re: EPG issues on Virgin Media

520062, post code NG11, Virgin Media.

I've just force downloaded the guide (start date 19/9/08 01:00) and no sign of DMAX on channel 197 where it should be.

Re: EPG issues on Virgin Media

I've noticed in today's EPG update that Hallmark +1 and Diva +1 have both arrived. However, neither is showing any data. Given that the data is exactly the same as for the non +1 Hallmark & Diva channels, which have full data, but just an hour later, can this data be added? TBH, a channel in the EPG without data may as well not be there at all.

Example: I never watch Movies 24+ as it has no data. You mentioned checking up on what the status with this channel was. Any update you can share?

Any update on DMAX as it's still not present at all in the EPG?

For MTV R, what constitutes a contracted channel? How does a channel become a contracted one, and who makes the decision which ones to contract? All the other MTV owned channels have full EPG data. From your other posting, I'm taking it that Watch isn't contracted either.

Re: EPG issues on Virgin Media

    Bump.

Also amendments to the original request based on Virgin renumbering channels, and that a couple of the channels have appeared, but don't have any EPG data:

    Channels missing from EPG:

       170   MTV R

       172   DMAX

Channel in EPG, but no data present:

       163   Hallmark Channel +1

       165   Diva TV +1

       425   Movies 24+

    Channels with (minor) naming errors:

160   Shown as Trouble Reloaded. Should be Trouble +1

148   Shown as Reality. Should be Zone Reality
