    DVBGuide error QI Failed

    Hi,

I've recently tried to setup DVBGuide as my MC does not have an Internet connection.

I'm using the default frequency of 50600 (I'm based in Northwest UK, not sure if this is correct?) i'e got a dual Hauppage nova-T card.

Whenever I run, it fails to get a signal lock.

When running under debug, I see a mention of BDA AutoDemodulate and then "*** QI Failed!"

I've no idea how to fix this, does anybody have any ideas/suggestions?

    Many thanks!

Carrier frequencies are always in kHz.  So you need another 0 there:

    dvbguide -c506000

That should give you a lock.

This is a pretty benign warning.  Some tuners say that they support certain interfaces (e.g. BDA_AutoDemodulate) but then don't actually let an application use those interfaces.  Basically, this is an error on the part of the device driver developer but in most cases it's pretty harmless.

    Pete
