Hello all i have question regarding using a pc as an extender for a pc with media center installed.
Is there a way to connect to my media center from another pc? I want a software solution.. as i dont want to put a noysy xbox at ervery pc.
It would eaven be nice to be able to stream it to my laptop.
Can you connect two media center pcs and use one as a extender for the other?

Also, in Vista you can add locations to recorded TV. Just add the recorded tv location on you PC with the tv tuners to the pc without the tuners. There are no full extender capabilities built into vista. Webguide is the best there is to my knowledge.

No, you can't use a PC as an extender. Softsled is the term for such software, and microsoft is not interested.

This is another reason why many folks, including myself, are considering switching to Sage as it has this functionality available.

I'm considering it, and plan to switch over the next couple years. I do not like Microsoft's way of releasing, then ditching their products after a few years.
