Not sure if you have seen these Windows SideShow Gadgets already but I've just installed them and thought it was worth a mention as they are pretty good.

"Ikanos Consulting have released 3 rather cool Windows Vista SideShow Gadgets. AccuWeather, Live Messenger and System Health. Ikanos Consulting were the first company to enable Windows Mobile devices to use the Windows Vista SideShow Gadgets with their Windows Mobile Connectivity Framework beta."

Am I right in thinking that Sideshow is still limited to Bluetooth connections? If so, does anyone know of the possibility it could be done over a wireless network or do they just use BT cause that's the "cool" thing to do :) (not sure if its part of the specs for sideshow)

I'm not entirely sure, I know as far as the Windows Mobile platfom is concerned the Windows SideShow for Windows Mobile Developer Preview v0.01 that was released recently, only supports Blue Tooth. The developer preview enables sideshow usage on Windows Mobile OS.
