I think the only cards that have given me anby problems have been creative cards, so I would try any non-creative card.
If you still have your old card in integrated audio, there are a couple of things I would try.
1) In the sound control panel, make sure your SPDIF output is enabled, and the default. Go ahead and disable everything else. Also run the tests for supported formats.
2) Download
spdifer http://ac3filter.net/projects/spdifer from the guys who made ac3filter.
3) In ffdshow if you have it:
Turn AC3 and DTS to disable in ffdshow codecs.
Apply and close
4) In Spdifer
check on the DTS box and MPEG audio box.
change SPDIF/DTS mode to auto.
Apply and close
I've used B-Gears and Auzentech with good results for DD encoding and DTS encoding support, but they might be overkill since all you want is passthrough.
