Vista 64 - Watching tv live crashes with video error

I have been building vista media centre over and over agian i still turn up the same issues.

Watching live TV continually dies, whether SD or HD.

I am running vista 64 with the default codecs. I have tried numerous nvidia drivers with clean install.

I have the latest WHQL drivers from hauppage (2200). Latest BIOS on motherboard.

Any ideas. The error i get is Video Error, it appears drivers are not installed blah blah blah.

Can anyone help, also noticed that DVD playback is slow and jerky, yet when i play DVD in mediaplayer i have no issues at all.

Re: Vista 64 - Watching tv live crashes with video error

Can you pull out 2 Gig of RAM out and try it that way. I had problem with my HVR-1600 and 4 Gig of RAM in 64 bit OS. Also can you update your Video drivers to 175.16 the next to last WHQL. Dont use 175.19.

    I hope this helps some.

i found out it was the old Nvidia driver for hdmi port (1.000.00017).. tv and dvd are much better using MS default driver.

i tried the memory thing, it did not work.

i also updated to 175.19....... and will test using 175.16 hdmi driver later today to see if dolby will work
