Can MCE2005 run a HTA application?

I've been knocking up my very first MCE add-in but I'm hitting a security issue in IE: I need to use the FileSystemObject, but that instantly causes IE to pop up a security warning saying "An Activex control on this page might be unsafe to interact with other parts of the page. Do you want to allow this interaction?". This is annoying at a 2' interface, but not at all friendly when run through the MCE 10' interface.

If I change the HTML file to a HTA then it works fine in 2' IE and doesn't display the security message, but when run through MCE it just presents me with a plain blue screen and sits there doing nothing except leaving behing orphaned processes.

So, is MCE2005 compatible with HTA files, or does it only like HTML?

If it makes any difference then my MCE machine is still running IE6, though I see the same behaviour in IE7 on my main XP Pro machine.
