Help with my setup please!!!
I'm running a vista home premium 32 bit setup on a Q6600 with 4GB of Ram and a OnAir GT USB Tuner.
I installed the TV pack following the instructions in the text document, but I did not do a clean install. I did install everything though, including the hotfixes, restarting after each step in the installation. After installing the Play ready PC runtime x86, it took forever to shut down when i restarted the computer. I ended up leaving the computer and coming back and it was at my logon screen, so I have no idea whether that step was successful or not. Anyway, after everything, Vista Media Center looks exactly the same. When i setup, i have no options for digital cable - it will only search for digital OTA signals and then It says it can't get any signal. Interestingly, when I use the software that came with the tuner, It forms a list of digital cable channels but I can't get a signal for any of them - only the analog cable channels.
I live in Raleigh NC and have Time Warner Cables HD digital package. Anyone have any idea why this is not working? If I can get this to work, great. If not, I will just uninstall and purchase the HDHomerun.
