I have 2082 songs in itunes, when i sync using Musicbridge only 882 songs turn up in WMP

i have converted all my itunes collection to mp3 so none are in non wmp compatible aac mode anymore

can anybody help, i wish to have all 2082 songs in MCE so i can stream to my 360

Why do you need MusicBridge if all your songs are MP3?

well in a nutshell i hate WMP, i never have used it never will use it, but it's the only thing the MCE recognises, therefore i want everything ordered so i can use it in MCE the way it is in itunes, i.e i want albums, covers, track name and artists. as everything is in itunes i assumed music bridge merely told wmp where to find all this info.

As is i only end up with 882ish songs in wmp 332 in unknown media and the other 1000 i have no idea what happened to. plus wmp never understands anything. so when iload mce i have 3 albums which are the same, one with 1 track in the other with 3 tracks in and one with the rest of teh album.

if anybody knows how to resolve this so my mce will work flawlessly please help.

Yeah sounds like you don't really need MusicBridge. You might try a posting on one of the other forums here to ask for help with your specific WMP problems.

Because iTunes writes ID3 tag data to MP3s in a format almost, but not quite, readable by WMP.

Some tracks will have artist/title/album/genre/track in iTunes and WMP. Some won't. I think it depends on if the track has ID3v1, ID3v2, XML metadata or some combination of the above. Cover art is definately not in the same format (iTunes puts it in the files, WMP puts it in the folder), and MusicBridge is also the only way to sync ratings.

I've even had tracks refuse to play in iTunes after WMP got its paws on them. Strangely enough, they still played on my iPod. Had to use Foobar2000's "Fix MP3 Header" to clean them up.
