    Nice Job, Flexx.

I've been waiting for a Video Playlist addin for sometime, even started my own, just never did much with it.

But...I'm having the same problem, the addin won't start for me either, just sits there in more programs. :-(

Cheers for your work, hope you can fix this bug.

    RE: VideoPlaylistCreator - New App

Great app (if i could get it to work!)

I have found some of the problem, to begin with i had the same button would do anything as everybody else however i solved that by adjusting the Deploy program.

By removing the rem comand before pause i could see that most of the lines were not working, mainly because they couldn't find the libary files. I there frplaced the ./ refrence with "c:\video Install\XXX" were xxx is the libary file.

Most of the lines would then work. And the prgram now runs but won't actually compile the asx file I assume thats because of the last file thats not working in the deploy program.

WMENC.exe is suppose to be in a folder on my machine, however the folder Encoder does't exsist on my machine in program files, what is this program? And how do iget a hold of it??

The intface looks brilliant and its just what i've been looking for but with it not actually compiling its annoying. Any ideas??

    RE: VideoPlaylistCreator - New App

I have followed the install procedures, but when I go to run the application, nothing happens.

    Have I missed something?

    RE: VideoPlaylistCreator - New App

See my last thread, not sure what the fix is though.

    I've started using MCEBrowser

    http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/community/mce-applications-development-support/8353-beta-testers-wanted-mce-file-browser.html

Make sure you use version 0.2

Not such a slick interface but the program worked first time for me.

    RE: VideoPlaylistCreator - New App

    Hey Dom,

Are you DoubleDipping in two forums! Unfair! Unfair!

I haven't tried VideoPlaylistCreator but I think the concept is to turn your MCE into a streaming server in order to play asx files. In the development of MCEBrowser I stumbled upon an easier way for MCE to play ASX files without streaming. I'll go into detail but this is not the place. I am still unhappy at this communtity and it's lack of support for striving programmers. So I'll post it on the aussie board.

    RE: VideoPlaylistCreator - New App

I came across this app a couple of days ago and had to have it, since I've been looking for this functionality for a long time.  After following the instructions, I had the same problems as everyone else.  The program showed up under More Programs but didn't do anything.

I noticed that deploy.bat was trying to reference a folder called Windows Media Components on my computer.  After doing a little searching, I found that you must have the Windows Media Encoder 9 Series installed on your computer before you can successfully install think MCE plugin.  After I installed it, I reran deploy.bat and everything worked great.  Good Luck, and let me know if this works for anyone else!

Download Windows Media Encoder 9 Series here.

    RE: VideoPlaylistCreator - New App

I am glad to see that someone got this working.  However, I have made the installation easier -- much easier.  No need to download Windows Media Encoder 9.  The code is also much cleaner.  See initial post for new installer --  VideoPlaylistCreator.msi .

    Sorry for the looonnnngggg wait.

Nudge -- your right.  Somehow the new version did not make it to the redesigned site.  I am working with the moderator to repost it -- hopefully soon.

    Re: VideoPlaylistCreator - New App

Is anyone interested in hosting the VideoPlaylistCreator application until TGB fixes the problem with uploading files to this site?
