mceWeather is a plug-in that shows weather for your region on your TV. The plugin provides data from all over the world (data is provided by wetter.com and weather.com). It shows the forecast for the next days, the satellite image of your country and a handy overview page. You can set multiple cities as your favourites and then switch fast between these cities with your remote control, a mouse, a keyboard or a touchscreen.

Version 3.0.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Nice plugin, but doesn't work with my Firefly remote for some reason (up, down, ok, etc)

works very nice, and is good for use on a tv. the skin is very media center-like and although it is a little slow on my system, it works fine.

Very Cool.... Neat addition for the modern day tv watcher who wants to see what the weather is going to be like tommorow while watching their favorite friends episode... would like to set up other locations... check the forcast for my work city.... etc...

I would like this if it was faster. It took 10 minutes just for it to tell me that I did not have a city selected. I went to Settings to try to add a city, waited 5 minutes, and then uninstalled the software when I saw that nothing was happening. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have started using this plugin in Vista RTM MCE, and while I enjoy it, it appears to run slowly and it contains the MCE 05 and before interface. When do you think there may be an update designed to run smoothly on Vista RTm? I would really like to use this. - Corey

MCEWeather works fine on my PC but when trying to view it through the Xbox 360 (as an extender) I get the following: The pop-up box says "Not Designed for media center" and the message says "This website may not be designed for viewing from a distance or for remote control interaction. Do you want to view it in Media Center anyway or create a desktop shortcut to view it later? " My choices are to View Later, View Now or Cancel. I chose View Now, then the loading circle pops up and just stays on a blue screen, and nothing more happens. How can I view MCE Weather properly on the Xbox extender? Thanks.

looks like the domain name for the weather expired or something. Is there a newer version available?

Liked it on my MCE2005 HTPC, but doesn't work on Xbox360 extender. Didn't try on Vista - Don't use Media Center on host PC and host has sidebar with instant access to summary and quick access. It does seem to work nicely.

Runs incredibly slowly on my MCE2005 and has pretty large scale control lag.

Worked Great! I wish there was a few better maps in motion, like more zoomed in on my territory, but overall great piece of software. Perfect addition to my rig. I didn't notice any of the lag others have mentioned.

Ran Great on my Vistax32, Would not work on Vista x64. It would run from the start menu thru MCE, But would not show up in the menu. I was able to add my local TV stations Radar in Motion to the Sat Maps. Just find the map you want and right click, click properties then copy the url for the map. Paste that URL (ctrl-V) in the custom URL under Sats
