My Movies for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition is the ultimate movie collection management and playback tool. With My Movies you are able to index your movies with automatically downloaded data from the internet, and then browse movies, actors, directors and much more. You can share your movie database to multiple clients, and configure each client to its own parental control limitation, and require pin # to view the full collection. My Movies is available in about 10 different languages, and movie data can be downloaded in English, German, French or Japanese. With My Movies you can experience your movie collection in a way you never thought possible, filtering your collection by genres, actors, directors, MPAA parental level and much more. My Movies can even help you copy your DVD's to hard drive storage for easy playback.

Great program, very handy. Just threw my HTPC together, and I'm using your movies2 app. Is there a way to import an existing db into it? I've collected around 700 movies, and dno't wish to enter each one with a search if I don't have to.

I have ripped about thirty movies using My Movies and I think The app is amazing but how is everyone going about storing up to 700 movies?!?! I am sure they must be compressed. I am looking for an affordable storage option that I could use to store all of my movies "online." (around 300 movies)

Wonderful program! For an additional feature it would be great to enhance the updating of actor/producer profiles. Sometimes there's plenty of information about the film and not so much about the performers and it would be fantastic to be able to do a supplementary scan of data bases to add to performer profiles. Installed it and LOVE it. I have 500 GB on the main system and used the Netgear 1TB network drive to store my movies on it to share to other MCE machines.

Great program. Been using 1.x for years, now 2.0. Can't go wrong and with the content controls, works good for the whole family.

Thanks for the great app! I've been using version 1 and just upgraded to v2.11. Unfortunantly none of the button text is showing up now for My Movies (and for a Portal, Weather and a few other software apps I just downloaded. I verifed that I have Rollup 2, so I'm not sure what's up. Any ideas?

This works fine with Vista. Vista has .Net Framework 2.0 installed. It does NOT have v 1.1 and you need to install it separately and manually. Download v1, v1.1 and update to v1.1. It's work.

I had used this app when I ran MC2005 and it worked great. I now run vista media center. I installed My Movie 2 and its been a total pain in the $*@. Looks like lots of new stuff was added but the basics were totally skipped over. How about a basic setup manual? I'll work at it a bit more but so far I cant get my riipped movies to catalog. My suggestion is to take a step back and write a proper install / user manual.

I have XP Professional installed and would like to use My Movies. When I try to run it, I get an error that it cannot find ehshell.exe. Is there a work around for this (other than purchasing the Media Center version)? The Collection Management part of the software works great.
